Hunt for love and trust
I start down a path I have never traveled
before,
taking the steps nervously I come across a closed
door.
Testing the door to see if it's locked, the knob is hot to the
touch,
a warm glow envelopes my heart the feeling is too
much.
opening the door like opening the heart I allow someone to come
in,
watching the person closely for the first few steps still protecting
myself from sin.
Walking through the house a second door is open it's the room of hurt
and pain,
seeing the tightness the person steps back and closes the door
again.
The third door is easier for the feelings run
high,
the laughter rings out goodness fills the
sky.
The fourth door is locked keeping the stranger
out,
he wants to raise his fist to the air he wants to
shout.
but a stillness envelopes him for he knows what the room
holds,
it's the treasure he's hunted, it's not silver nor
gold.
The treasure is trust and love, the only two emotions that can not be
taken,
they are the emotions which he can only receive if i choose to do the
giving
